Waldron amassed six letters, in baseball (four) and wrestling (two) as a Grizzlie. The 2007 Sacramento Player of the Year, Waldron was selected by the Florida Marlins in the 38th round of the 2007 MLB Amateur Draft. Waldron decided to pursue his degree and play for the Tigers. A two-time team MVP, Waldron posted a stellar 0.65 ERA during his senior season, allowing just seven earned runs in 76.0 innings. Waldron recorded 151 strikeouts and issued just 17 walks in 2007. He finished the season with a perfect 11-0 mark as a senior. At the plate, Tyler hit .530 with 44 hits, including 12 doubles, two triples and two home runs in 29 games. Waldron also drove in 41 runs, collected 20 walks and only struck out once. As a junior he finished with a 7-2 record with a 1.13 ERA. He struck out 110 hitters in just 56 innings of work. At the plate, Waldron hit .537 with two home runs and 22 RBI. During the summer of 2006 he was a member of the Milwaukee Brewers Area Code Team.<p><b>Personal:</b><p> Tyler Waldron is the son of Steve and Kathy Waldron. Tyler has one brother, Nicholas (15).
